8-Days Tanzania Safari

Lake Eyasi Safari to visit the lesser-known tribes the Hadzabe and Datoga. The Hadzabe people are the only remaining hunter and gatherer people in the East African region. Through the Lake Eyasi Safari, you will explore more about the Hadzabe culture and tradition. You will also visit the Datoga tribe who are the local iron smith in the area.

  1. Day 0

    Arusha

    Distance: 30km /50km

    Met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to mvuli hotel for dinner and overnight HB. (40 km, 30 minutes)

  2. Day 1

    Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    Distance: 130km

    Non–game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs.

    After breakfast, the tour departs. The first stop is Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases before we leave on the safari. Afterward, we head towards Tarangire Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is documented for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that has up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras.

  3. Day 2

    Lake Manyara National Park

    Distance: 190km

    Non–game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

    After breakfast, the Tanzania Expeditions driver will pick you up and depart to Lake Manyara Park for a game drive. This park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a huge but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the good Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a good sort of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, also as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae within the lake.

  4. Day 3

    Lake Eyasi

    Today it’s time to interact with the Bushmen, the Hadzabe Tribe, who sleep in groups hunting with bows and arrows and gathering roots, tubers, and wild fruits very much like humankind lived during the Stone Age. we’ll get a thorough check of how they still survive and the way they adapt to their harsh environment and therefore the challenges they face to continue this nomadic existence. The Datoga tribe are blacksmiths, a trade developed over centuries and still practiced in very much an equivalent way today. They produce the arrowheads for the Hadzabe and brass trinkets, a number of which can be purchasable by the maker himself. Late afternoon transfer to Kudu campsite

  5. Day 4

    Lake Eyasi- Ngorongoro crater

    Distance: 190km

    Non–game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs.

    After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll descend over 600 meters into the crater to look at wildlife. Supported by a year-round water system and fodder, the Ngorongoro Park supports a huge sort of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to the present picturesque park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and therefore the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to identify. we’ll visit Lake Magadi, an outsized but shallow alkaline lake within the southwestern corner, which is one of the most features of the crater. an outsized number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here.

  6. Day 5

    Ngorongoro crater – Serengeti National Park

    Distance: 145km

    Non–game viewing time: 2 – 3 hrs.

    Early morning breakfast and after depart to Serengeti Park. we’ll visit Olduvai Gorge, boasting a history dating back to the dawn of your time. it had been here, that the anthropologists Dr. Lois and Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links within the chain of human evolution. Do a game drive in Serengeti.

  7. Day 6

    Serengeti National Park

    Full day Serengeti National Park game drive including following the wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

  8. Day 7

    Serengeti National Park – Lake Natron

    Distance: 300km

    Non–game viewing time: 4 – 5 hrs.

    After an early breakfast, Do a morning game drive then after do a game on the way towards north Serengeti. inspect of the park at Klein’s gate then transfer to Lake Natron for an early dinner and overnight. choose a night Lake Natron to walk for sunset if time permits.

  9. Day 8

    Lake Natron – Arusha

    Distance: 250km

    Non–game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs.
    Night ascent & dawn summit bid, Oldoinyo Lengai (seismic conditions permitting). Optional waterfall hike and swim (Depending on what time your flight is leaving). After transfer to Arusha for airport drop off or overnight. (Accommodation can be included upon request at extra cost)
